01 · HISTORY + CHARACTER

Stora Antis

The eccentric choice: a tiny gastrobar-museum in the Old Town when you want dinner with more personality than polished neutrality.

My use-case: the story-first evening. Go because you want a place you will still describe afterwards, not because somebody demanded another tasting menu.

02 · FOOD-FIRST EVENING

Monai

Seasonal, modern cooking with local produce at the centre. Monai says it has been included in the Michelin Guide for two consecutive years. This is the one to choose when dinner is not something you squeeze between sightseeing.

My use-case: the serious dinner. Give it the evening rather than arriving hungry, late and offended that gastronomy takes longer than a kebab.

03 · FIRE, FLAVOUR, LESS CEREMONY

MOMO Grill

Klaipėda is the original MOMO location. The restaurant describes the formula as fire, seasonal produce and lighter sea-inspired flavours, with the grill doing actual work rather than decorative branding.

My use-case: the easiest recommendation for a mixed group — serious enough to care, relaxed enough that nobody needs to rehearse dinner.

04 · DINNER + KLAIPĖDA ITSELF

Meridianas

The historic sailing ship on the Danė is not merely something to photograph before dinner: it is the restaurant. The current menu leans modern European and Mediterranean, with fish and seafood prominent and a house seafood soup among the signatures.

My use-case: the memorable first-night table. You are paying partly for dinner and partly for the fact that your dining room has masts.
