At 21:00 on 19 September, Kaunas Artists’ House lists the 2026 Fluxus Festival. The event’s history grew out of Kaunas 2022 and has become part of the city’s ongoing cultural life.

The point
Do not bolt the event onto a random itinerary. Build the itinerary around the night.
Good event travel is mostly sequencing: hotel area, dinner time, walking distance, the morning after and whether another city actually improves the trip.
Saturday morning: modernism + Art Deco
Build the city context first. Fluxus makes more sense after you understand why Kaunas treats modernism and experimental culture as living material.
Saturday afternoon: keep it loose
Science Island, Pažaislis or a long lunch — but protect energy. The night is the main event.
Saturday 19:00-ish: eat early
Choose dinner by walking route and crowd tolerance, not prestige. The food radar exists for exactly this problem.
21:00: Fluxus
Costume, procession, public art, hill. Do not arrive with a taxi meter and a 22:15 train in your head.
Sunday: slow Kaunas
Coffee, river, museum, sauna or Birštonas extension. The morning after is part of the weekend.
